Cruiser days 2008 was an unqualified success. We had a huge turnout with lots of families, dogs, & kids. I counted 79 Cruisers in all, might have been more. The weather was perfect: hot but not scorching. People we hadn't seen for years showed up. Brown Bear came down from the interior, and GlennBJ74 came over from Victoria. Greg Bowie and Petra came from Abbotsford and won the air compressor and air tools. Charles and Petra came up from Guatemala. The food vendor was busy and had a variety of smokies, Bratwurst, & wieners. We raised $700. for the Children's Hospital, after Lisa generously donated $200. of her winnings. Thanks Lisa! Many thanks to the club volunteers who worked hard organizing, posting ads, printing materials, and lending a hand in the overall event. Also thanks to Toyota dealers, TLCA, and EBI for donating prizes.
The two pics below are the best and the most rusted. Rob Millson won the light set prize for the best. Notice his new ARB freezer/fridge! Notice the popscicle Andrea is eating: it came from Rob's new freezer.
No name mentioned for the rustiest! Think of it as a restoration project in the making.
